Art and Design: Figure and Life Drawing and Printmaking (Creative Industries) SCQF 6 (North Uist, Taigh Chearsabhagh)

Course description

Figure and Life Drawing 
Working with a model, and time spent drawing from life will develop your observational skills and media handling. Students will think about basic anatomy alongside visual elements such as tone and form and explore many approaches to drawing the figure. You will join our full-time students to explore printmaking including linocut and collagraph printing methods. Various artists will be considered in each session. Materials included. This course will run on the following Tuesdays 11,18 & 25 February and 4,11 & 18 March 2025.

Printmaking

This unit will give you a solid introduction to these two very different print approaches, and encourage you to experiment fully with ideas and ways of working. Suited to beginners or those with some experience. Materials included. This course will run on the following 6 Wednesdays 12,19 & 26 February & 5,12 & 19 March 2025.

Students joining these courses in February will learn with our full-time students in our regular figure and life drawing class and print-making classes.
